5th Grade Tutoring Program
Through various community partnerships, we help 5th grade students and their families achieve success through educational support, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities.
Students work with college students and teachers to identify areas requiring enrichment and work collaboratively to strengthen those areas. Monthly family dinners are held to bring the family together and focus on topics such as communication, assisting their child with homework and other topics to support the children and their families.

SOAR Summer Bridge Program
Our SOAR Summer Bridge Program collaborates with the Morris School District, The Morris Arts, Valley Bank, and other partners to assist children and minimize their summer learning loss. We have teachers who provide support in math and language arts enrichment, leadership, cultural and civic development. Field trips to amusement parks and other fun activities are also a part of the Summer Bridge Program.

SOAR Leadership Academy
The SOAR Leadership Academy, in partnership with Frelinghuysen Middle School, Seton Hall University and the Morris School District has been established to assist middle school students, who participated in the 5th Grade Tutoring Program, in strengthening their leadership skills and to begin thinking about college. It is a 10-week program for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
Students will also have opportunities to take action on important social issues, to work alongside community leaders, and to make a positive impact on their school’s climate and their community. Students will gain a better understanding of who they are and who they aspire to become.

SOAR CAP (College Access Program)
SOAR College Access Program (SOAR CAP) was established so that students can get assistance in essay writing and other key areas and their families can get help with completing financial aid applications as well as how to assist their children with the college application process.
Our goal is to assist as many SOAR students (whom the majority would be first time college students) to get into a college program. This work may also include students looking into trade schools.
